Dear CPLL families
We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as the League navigates through the challenges of these last few months. New York State has approved low risk youth sports, such as baseball, to start on July 6, 2020 in regions that have reached or surpassed Phase 3 of the State's reopening plan. As of this writing, New York City is expected to enter Phase 3 on July 6. We will, however, not be permitted to start our delayed Spring baseball season because the NYC Parks and Recreation Department has cancelled all permits for its baseball fields until the end of August. As a result, we will not be able to proceed with baseball activities at College Point Fields or the other nearby baseball fields until at least early September.
We currently expect to be able to play baseball in the fall. If your player registered for the spring season, the registration will be transferred to the fall season. If you do not wish your player to play fall baseball, please send us an email message to
[email protected] letting us know that you wish to get a refund for the spring baseball season. In your email, please provide your name, the player's name, and your home address. Refunds will be issued by check.
Thank you for your patience and stay safe.
Rafael Rivera, President
College Point Little League
